Last year I donated a large canvas print of one of my favourite scenes from Algonquin Park to the Chatham Terry Fox Run. When Jessica and Adam Barton, our Chatham ambassadors, asked if I could make another donation it was hard to refuse. The annual Run operates on a $0 budget and all donations made go directly to cancer research. This is a human cause I can get behind. 2015 marks the 35th anniversary of the Terry Fox Run in Chatham!
So, this year I have donated “Second Blue”, a limited edition print I photographed earlier this year at Second Beach in Olympic National Park, Washington. This print was done with a gallery quality mounting process in which the photo is printed on a pearlized metallic paper and then front mounted to crystal clear acrylic. The photo has a rear float mount so it hangs off your wall with no visible framing. The acrylic gives the image an extra pop making it appear almost 3-dimensional and backlight. This mounting process will be available for my entire limited edition collection, which I will be opening in late October.
Check out the auction for this print and many other great donated items at https://www.32auctions.com/chathamterryfoxrun. The auction is open for viewing today and will open for bids September 18-22.
